Growing My Newsletter from Scratch

I'll be honest: my newsletter currently has two subscribers. Not including myself or family members.
Two! That's it. And look, every author starts somewhere, but I think it's time to actually do something about it.
So here's the plan. I've set up a new lead magnet through BookBeam — the first third of Ashes of the Waterfall, completely free. That's a decent chunk of the novel. Enough to meet Aimee, discover the data pad, and get a feel for the world of Callandria before the real trouble kicks in.
I figured a substantial sample of the actual book is a stronger offer than a collection of short stories. If you like the opening act, you'll want to keep going. Simple as that.
To get the word out, I'm running a Facebook ad pointing straight at the BookBeam download page. I've also updated the signup box on the homepage so it points to the same offer. Two entry points, one goal: get more readers onto the list.
Will it work? No idea. But the baseline is two, so the only way is up.
If you're reading this and you haven't grabbed your free copy yet — start reading here. And if you know someone who's into space opera, send them my way.
Let's see where this goes.
